What We Do
Inspired by the community of women boxers at Austin Women's Boxing Club, Owner and Head Trainer Julia Gschwind and Coach Alex Plichta set out to create a nonprofit to bring the excitement, fun, and empowerment of boxing to more girls in the Austin community. HeadStrong Girls' Boxing offers FREE classes in the communities and schools where their students live, ensuring location and expense are never a barrier to access quality training and instruction. Who We Serve
We coach middle and high school girls ages 12-18 looking for a healthy outlet to blow off steam, manage their stress, and be part of a supportive and powerful community. Our program provides a place for girls who might not normally participate in team sports or regular exercise a way to get physically fit and be a part of a community in a safe, unique and fun environment.
